(i) Ge is a 14^th group element and In is a 13^thgroup element .When 14^th group element is doped with In a 13^thgroup element, a electron deficit hole created .Hence Ge doped with In will generate p–type semiconductor.

(ii)B is a 13^th group element and Si is a 14^thgroup element .When 13^th group element is doped with In a 14^thgroup element, created hole will generate n–type semiconductor.
